You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

👩‍🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩‍🍳

The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.

Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

Enchiladas! A Little Sauce, A Lot of Love! 🌮❤️

1. A Meal That Warms the Heart! ❤️

In this wonderful lifestyle of giving, few things bring comfort and cheer quite like a hearty plate of enchiladas! Imagine a soft tortilla filled with seasoned meat, rolled with care, and practically baptized in rich red enchilada sauce. Cover it with melted cheese, add a spoonful of sour cream and a few sliced black olives, and you have a delicious gift of kindness. Serve two or three on uno plato (one plate), perhaps with refried beans, and you’ve created a meal that warms both the heart and the tummy!

2. The Secret Ingredient: FROZEN TAQUITOS! 🌮

Now, making enchiladas for 90 or 100 hungry friends might sound like an all-day kitchen adventure. ¡No, mi amigo! My sister-in-law Peggy still makes the bestest homemade tacos, dipped in hot oil, filled with goodness, and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. But when the clock is ticking and a hundred meals are waiting, we have a wonderful shortcut. Two words: FROZEN TAQUITOS! Purchase boxes of frozen chicken-and-cheese taquitos, cans of red enchilada sauce, bags of shredded cheese, sliced black olives, and sour cream. Simple ingredients, a little teamwork, and we’re ready to roll!

FROZEN TAQUITOS!

3. Two Layers of Goodness, Served with Gladness! 🧀

Arrange the frozen taquitos snugly in large baking pans, two layers tall, with red enchilada sauce and plenty of shredded cheese covering the layers. Bake according to the package directions and your adapted casserole instructions, checking that the center reaches a safe 165°F before serving. Our previous large-pan preparation used a 425°F oven for approximately 30 minutes, but the actual time depends on pan depth and oven performance. Finish with olives and a spoonful of sour cream, then serve generous portions with a smile! At Pioneer Human Services, Lady Baboo and I had the privilege of preparing more than 90 servings for neighbors in recovery. Every plate became an opportunity for conversation, encouragement, and sharing the love of Christ. With every meal goes a message, and with every message goes a meal. ¡Que Dios te bendiga! God bless you!

GAS PRICES

⛽CHEAP GAS is in the odd places. Get gas outside of Seattle. Best prices are either in Fife at the 7-11 on 3309 Pacific Hwy E. If your looking for a great deal north of Seattle:🚗

Image of a gas price comparison featuring three locations: 7-Eleven in Fife, WA with regular at $4.84 and diesel at $7.02, AMPM in Seattle, WA with regular at $6.19 and diesel at $7.99, and River Rock Tobacco in Arlington, WA with regular at $4.79 and diesel at $6.75. The background features Mount Rainier and a city skyline.

We just found that the Union 76 on 4th St. in Marysville, WA has the best price today! We paid 4.89 at the while visiting NW Baptist Church on 2nd St. There in Marysville, WA. 🚗

HYPERMiling: Smart Ideas to Boost Mileage

HYPERMiling Idea 101: Coast to a red light. That is an obvious. The difference is a couple of seconds and a bunch of gas.

I’ve been doing this wrong for the last week… There is a red light, I’m supposed to put it into NEUTRAL and coast. Going down a hill and into a curve… NEUTRAL again. Going down Grant’s Pass – please use your engine to slow you. (you get the idea.) Be smart, Drive from Coast to Coast.

A friend of mine mentioned that you cannot go into neutral with hybrid cars. For what it’s worth, you cannot also do this with electric cars, motorcycles, or airplanes. This idea is best used on good old-fashioned stick shift trucks, but I use it on my Ram 1500 6-cyl, with a full-sized electrical box truck.

⛽ Hypermiling #1: Coast to the next red light. 🚦 Hypermiling #2: Watch for stale lights. 🛞 Hypermiling #3: Check tire pressure monthly. 🚚 Hypermiling #4: Remove unnecessary weight. 🌄 Hypermiling #5: Use hills to your advantage. 🚗 Hypermiling #6: Gentle acceleration beats jackrabbit starts.
