OK. What about the BOLOGNA?
It is the best days of the early church. Everyone was of one heart and that oneness carried over into every area of their daily co-living lives. This was a honeymoon of the congregation. 5,000+ Believers; there was a victory in the courts to acknowledge the righteous action of Peter and John; and there was a romantic giving by faith of every excess to meet the needs of all. Yet, someone had to spoil the mood. Because in every honeymoon year, there will always be Boldness, Blessings and Bologna.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in his, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ glorified himself not to be a high priest, but God who said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

Matthew 3: 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Luke 3:11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
a. We are ONE in the Body of Christ – v. 32, 34
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
b. Our testimony makes you strong; YOUR faith encourages my heart – v. 33
c. We love to share, God’s way – vs. 35-37 OT & NT
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
GIVE through
Tithing – Acts 4:32-37 to the local church
Worship – Exodus 20:8-10 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Prayer – I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Bible study – II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
Witnessing – Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. - Bunch of Bologna is Lying – Acts 5:1-11
a. Prosperity Shared – Acts 4:36, 37
b. Popularity Lusted – Acts 5:1, 2
c. Lying to the Holy Spirit – Acts 5:3, 4
Giving to God is Tithing, Worship, Prayer, Bible Study, Witnessing. Lying to save face has a harsh price.
CAN WE GO BACK A STEP?
1. Believers who are bold through their testing will always encourage others
2. Believers who are blessed with anything will always look for giving opportunities
3. Believers who admit their sin (1 John 1:9) will always be forgiven
May God encourage our hearts to be unified in our testimony and in our caring for each other.
As you go out this week, may the Joy of Christ be in your heart as you sing praises to God everyday!
