Pastor Joel and Open Door Baptist Church in Kent, WA have lead the Biblical charge of “Preaching the Gospel to every creature.” Their heartbeat has been to share the easily understood message of Salvation through the shed blood of Christ. On Saturdays you can find the ODBC family meeting for a time of Bible study and prayer, then they hit the streets. They literally have covered the entire region with the door-to-door message of Forgiveness through the shed blood of Christ.

EVANGELIZING On October 31st
Halloween is a secular event that has become a hard core even full of demonic effigies, costumes, movies and rituals. It is for real. Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan said, “I want to thank every Christian parent for allowing their child to celebrate Halloween—the devil’s holiday—one time a year.” WHOAH!

So how do we, as Christians be “in the world;” but not “of the world”? Do we bull-horn our distain? Do we soft-pedal with a HARVEST or Trunk-Or-Treat? This is a real issue! WWJD? What Would Jesus Do or What Did He Did?

#1 He did not preach at the other demoniac of Gadera! He left the other dude alone. Mark 5
#2 Jesus did not permit them “gnats and bugs” to do the talking. Mark 1:34
#3 “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” 1 Timothy 2:24, 25

What’s the point? Walk in faith and truth “…according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 Don’t browbeat the unbeliever or the weaker Christian. BE NICE! If your church has TRUNK-or-Treat, may God bless your refocus. If your church takes a hard stand. Enjoy the day and keep Praising the Lord. Have kind testimony.

“And of some having compassion, making a difference:” Jude 22

now… graciously witness to your neighbor. You’ll see them again tomorrow. So pray before and let the Holy Spirit lead you as far as you are willing.
