“WHEN A SINNER REPENTS”…
That’s what the Bible calls it. What do you do when a prostitute says, “Alice and Aaron, I’m tired of this lifestyle and I want out of this stuff!” We all know that the trap of easy money is tough to break away, just like drug addictions. So what is a Christian supposed to do for Brittany?
Yes, share with her Christ; but she was not ready for a commitment. OK, should I gloss it over or throw her to the Pharisees to make life more miserable? Naaahhhhh.
Let’s Have a Pizza Party for Brittany. Brittany Wants to Do Something Different!
We told all of our church friends to come and rejoice that she wants out of that old life. On that Friday, we wanted her to know that God’s people were ready to cheer her on for making a life choice change. That Friday pizza at the motel window was the bestest ever. Would she fall back to easy money scams? probably. I wanted her to remember that God’s people are always ready to receive a soul who wants a new life. In street outreach, this is a daily show of Christ’s love to others.
