The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

🥢 JUMBO EGG ROLLS!
Three Rolls, One Hearty Meal, and a Gospel Message to Go!
🥡 1. More Than a Snack: A Meal in Three Rolls!
Who says an egg roll is only a side dish? Not when it’s a jumbo chicken-and-vegetable egg roll, packed with savory goodness and wrapped in a delicious, crispy shell! Three generous egg rolls, approximately 2½–3 ounces each, make a satisfying grab-and-go meal for our friends on the streets. I’ve enjoyed the hearty egg rolls from Jack in the Box, but at restaurant prices, feeding a hundred people would quickly empty the ministry wallet! Instead, we’re taking this familiar favorite and turning it into an economical outreach meal. Three piping-hot jumbo egg rolls, generously drizzled with hoisin or plum sauce, served with a smile. Simple, filling, and wonderfully portable! 🐔🥬😋
🛒 2. Buy in Bulk, Heat, Sauce, and Serve!
Making hundreds of jumbo egg rolls from scratch would require mountains of ingredients, preparation, rolling, and frying. We love homemade cooking, but sometimes the smartest kitchen tool is a wholesale freezer! Look for bulk frozen jumbo egg rolls at Costco, US Foods CHEF’STORE, or Walmart online. Depending on the brand and package, our purchasing goal is approximately $1 per jumbo egg roll, making three rolls about $3 before sauce, packaging, and other expenses. Follow the manufacturer’s heating instructions, making sure the centers reach the required safe temperature, generally 165°F for reheated fully cooked egg rolls. Place three crispy rolls in a sturdy paper food tray, drizzle with hoisin or plum sauce, and add a napkin. Keep them hot until served. No complicated assembly line, no mountain of dirty dishes, just hot food ready for hungry hands! 🔥🥢❤️
📖 3. A Gospel Message That Travels!
This week’s outreach is different from our usual sit-down meals and small-group Bible studies. Our guests may be walking to work, returning to a shelter, or simply passing through. So how do we share the Gospel when there’s little time for conversation? Send the message along with the meal! Prepare a small, double-sided Gospel tract, approximately the size of a playing card, featuring a clear Scripture verse and a simple explanation of salvation through Jesus Christ. Laminate it to protect it from sauce, moisture, and those wonderfully greasy fingers! Place the card separately alongside the food, offer a warm greeting, and invite the recipient to visit CHAPEL.today for more encouragement and Scripture. Even when the conversation lasts only a moment, the message can travel much farther. Three jumbo egg rolls for the journey, and the Good News of Jesus Christ for the heart! 🙏📖🥡

HYPERMiling: Smart Ideas to Boost Mileage
HYPERMiling Idea 101: Coast to a red light. That is an obvious. The difference is a couple of seconds and a bunch of gas.
I’ve been doing this wrong for the last week… There is a red light, I’m supposed to put it into NEUTRAL and coast. Going down a hill and into a curve… NEUTRAL again. Going down Grant’s Pass – please use your engine to slow you. (you get the idea.) Be smart, Drive from Coast to Coast.
A friend of mine mentioned that you cannot go into neutral with hybrid cars. For what it’s worth, you cannot also do this with electric cars, motorcycles, or airplanes. This idea is best used on good old-fashioned stick shift trucks, but I use it on my Ram 1500 6-cyl, with a full-sized electrical box truck.
