TODAY’S MENU: SALISBURY STEAK MADE EASY

You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
👩🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩🍳
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

RECIPES with GROUP COUNSELLING

SERVE IN GROUPS OF 5-6 with a staff coach

🍲 1. THE MENU: Make It Simple, Make It Hearty
Salisbury steak does not need a culinary degree or a kitchen full of gadgets. Start with hamburger patties, place them in the crockpot, and let cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and simple seasonings turn themselves into a warm, rich gravy. Add a big pot of green beans and you have a substantial meal that can travel from a college gathering to a park table, a Gospel Mission, or straight to somebody sitting on the sidewalk. Simple food, prepared well, becomes generous food.

🥣 2. THE SERVICE: Prepare for the Meal You Actually Made
This is a wet and weighty meal, so serve it accordingly! A hamburger patty swimming in gravy beside green beans needs a deep, sturdy paper bowl, not a flimsy plate preparing for structural collapse. And bring the heavyweight plastic forks. 🍴 If the fork surrenders halfway through the green beans, we have failed the engineering department! Whether you are serving six students around a table or one hungry person on a sidewalk, thoughtful service says something important before a word is spoken: “We prepared this for you.”

📖 3. THE CONVERSATION: Prepare the Message as Carefully as the Meal
Now comes the reason for sitting down together. Did you prepare God’s Word with the same care that you prepared the food? Have a short passage of Scripture ready, understand what it teaches, and bring copies that people can actually read, with clear words and comfortably large print. Then eat, listen, talk, ask questions, and allow Scripture to lead the conversation. The crockpot prepared the meal, but the servant prepared his heart. Come hungry for lunch, but even hungrier to share God’s Word, because with every meal goes a message, and with every message goes a meal. 📖🍲❤️

GAS PRICES
⛽CHEAP GAS is in the odd places. Get gas outside of Seattle. Best prices are either in Fife at the 7-11 on 3309 Pacific Hwy E. If your looking for a great deal north of Seattle:🚗

Just after church, we made pit stop at COSTCO. We paid 4.86 at the COSTCO on 16616 Twin Lakes Ave, Marysville, WA 98271, just of the 172nd St. in north Marysville, WA. 🚗

HYPERMiling: Smart Ideas to Boost Mileage
HYPERMiling Idea 101: Coast to a red light. That is an obvious. The difference is a couple of seconds and a bunch of gas.
I’ve been doing this wrong for the last week… There is a red light, I’m supposed to put it into NEUTRAL and coast. Going down a hill and into a curve… NEUTRAL again. Going down Grant’s Pass – please use your engine to slow you. (you get the idea.) Be smart, Drive from Coast to Coast.
A friend of mine mentioned that you cannot go into neutral with hybrid cars. For what it’s worth, you cannot also do this with electric cars, motorcycles, or airplanes. This idea is best used on good old-fashioned stick shift trucks, but I use it on my Ram 1500 6-cyl, with a full-sized electrical box truck.

⛽ Hypermiling #1: Coast to the next red light. 🚦 Hypermiling #2: Watch for stale lights. 🛞 Hypermiling #3: Check tire pressure monthly. 🚚 Hypermiling #4: Remove unnecessary weight. 🌄 Hypermiling #5: Use hills to your advantage. 🚗 Hypermiling #6: Gentle acceleration beats jackrabbit starts.
