You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

👩‍🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩‍🍳

The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.

Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

Five or six people. One trusted leader. A pathway to Recover, Rebuild, and Return.

🍽️ #1 FOOD

A simple meal opens a closed door.

You don’t need a banquet to build a friendship. A warm plate of chicken Alfredo, soup, sandwiches, or whatever God has provided says, “You matter.” As everyone begins eating, conversation becomes natural, laughter begins to replace silence, and strangers begin turning into friends. Food fills an empty stomach, but it also creates a peaceful place where hearts become ready to listen. 🍝🥖❤️

🔥 #2 TOOLS

Simple tools can accomplish extraordinary ministry.

A portable stove, one skillet, one saucepan, a serving spoon, paper bowls, plastic forks, and a thankful heart can become a traveling kitchen almost anywhere. Parks, apartment courtyards, shelters, campsites, or sidewalks can all become a dining room when someone is willing to serve. The equipment may be small, but God’s opportunities are enormous. 🔥🍳🥄☕

📖 #3 THE MESSAGE

God’s Word changes what no meal ever can.

The meal may have brought everyone together, but the Scriptures are the reason we came. As the Holy Spirit leads, open God’s Word and share the hope of forgiveness, salvation, grace, and redemption through Jesus Christ. Whether the lesson is the woman at the well, Zacchaeus, the prodigal son, or another passage, allow the Bible to guide the conversation. Listen carefully, answer gently, and trust God to do the work that only He can do. Long after the meal is forgotten, the truth of God’s Word can remain in a person’s heart forever. 📖✨❤️

“With every meal goes a message… and with every message goes a meal.”

HYPERMiling: Smart Ideas to Boost Mileage

HYPERMiling Idea 101: Coast to a red light. That is an obvious. The difference is a couple of seconds and a bunch of gas.

I’ve been doing this wrong for the last week… There is a red light, I’m supposed to put it into NEUTRAL and coast. Going down a hill and into a curve… NEUTRAL again. Going down Grant’s Pass – please use your engine to slow you. (you get the idea.) Be smart, Drive from Coast to Coast.

A friend of mine mentioned that you cannot go into neutral with hybrid cars. For what it’s worth, you cannot also do this with electric cars, motorcycles, or airplanes. This idea is best used on good old-fashioned stick shift trucks, but I use it on my Ram 1500 6-cyl, with a full-sized electrical box truck.

Hypermiling #1: Coast to the next red light. 🚦 Hypermiling #2: Watch for stale lights. 🛞 Hypermiling #3: Check tire pressure monthly. 🚚 Hypermiling #4: Remove unnecessary weight. 🌄 Hypermiling #5: Use hills to your advantage. 🚗 Hypermiling #6: Gentle acceleration beats jackrabbit starts.
