🌭 TODAY’S MENU Sausage, Egg & Cheese ROLL

You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

👩‍🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩‍🍳

The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.

Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

🌭 THE SAUSAGE ROLL ADVENTURE

1️⃣ We All Know This — Pigs in a Blanket

Most people recognize the classic pigs in a blanket. They are fun, simple, and perfect for parties or snacks. The challenge for food bank ministry is that hungry people need more than finger food. While these small bites are familiar and enjoyable, they are not designed to provide a substantial meal. They serve as our starting point and help us understand the concept of wrapping sausage in dough before we move toward something more filling.

A wooden platter featuring two types of puff pastry rolls: one filled with sausages and scrambled eggs, and another with hot dogs nestled in a flaky pastry, sprinkled with sesame seeds and herbs.

2️⃣ Level Up — Breakfast Sausage Roll

The next step is the breakfast sausage roll. By adding eggs, cheese, and a larger sausage filling inside a flaky pastry wrap, the meal becomes much more satisfying. This version introduces the idea that the wrap itself can carry a complete breakfast. The goal is not simply to provide calories, but to provide comfort, warmth, and a meal that feels generous. This stage bridges the gap between snack food and a truly substantial serving.

3️⃣ Go Big — German-Style Sausage Roll

Now we arrive at the destination. The German-style sausage roll uses a full-sized sausage, eggs, cheese, and a generous pastry wrap to create a complete meal in one package. These rolls are ideal for food bank outreach because they can be assembled in bulk, baked in bulk, and served in bulk. They travel well, hold heat effectively, and provide a hearty portion that satisfies real hunger. Rather than offering a small appetizer, we are offering a meal prepared with dignity, care, and abundance.

HYPERMiling: Smart Ideas to Boost Mileage

HYPERMiling Idea 101: Coast to a red light. That is an obvious. The difference is a couple of seconds and a bunch of gas.

I’ve been doing this wrong for the last week… There is a red light, I’m supposed to put it into NEUTRAL and coast. Going down a hill and into a curve… NEUTRAL again. Going down Grant’s Pass – please use your engine to slow you. (you get the idea.) Be smart, Drive from Coast to Coast.

A friend of mine mentioned that you cannot go into neutral with hybrid cars. For what it’s worth, you cannot also do this with electric cars, motorcycles, or airplanes. This idea is best used on good old-fashioned stick shift trucks, but I use it on my Ram 1500 6-cyl, with electrical box truck.

Yes – I use GASBUDDY.com

⛽CHEAP GAS is in the odd places. Get gas outside of Seattle. Best prices are either in Fife at the 7-11 on 3309 Pacific Hwy E. If your looking for a great deal north of Seattle:🚗

COSTCO was the cheapest this week at 5.09 at the Costco in Marysville (16616 Twin Lakes Ave) WA. I was totally excited that the advertised price was $4.99; but when I got there, it bumped Up a notch.🚗

NO – they do not sponsor us. Always a ministry; never monetized.
