The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

These aren’t tiny meatballs…
these are cannonballs of courage! 😄
Juicy meatballs, rich marinara, melted cheese cascading like a waterfall of glory—
all tucked into a sturdy roll that says, “I can handle this.”
🧀 2️⃣ The Build — Layer It Like a Legend
Start with a solid bun (no weak bread allowed 💪)
Add those mighty meatballs
Smother with sauce
Top with mozzarella or provolone—lots of it!
Toast it just enough to hold the mission together.
Because if it falls apart…
we call that “blessed chaos.” 😂
🤝 3️⃣ The Mission — Feed Like You Mean It
Wrap it in hearty paper towel. Double plates for safety
Hand it out with both hands.
And maybe a warning:
“Careful… this one’s loaded.” 😄💥
