You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
👩🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩🍳
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

🥕 Step 1: Inspire the Appetite — The Gospel of the Garden
Minestrone isn’t just soup—it’s a parable of provision. In times of scarcity, Italians would gather whatever vegetables they had—beans, carrots, tomatoes, onions, zucchini—and with love, prayer, and a pinch of salt, they created abundance. 🍅🌿
It reminds us of God’s Kingdom: every part matters, every ingredient belongs, and nothing is wasted.
Each spoonful says: “You are welcome here. You belong.”

🍲 Step 2: How It’s Made — Love in Layers, Flavor in Fellowship
Authentic minestrone begins with a soffritto—a holy trinity of onion, carrot, and celery sautéed in olive oil. 🧅🥕🌿
Then come the vegetables of the season (potatoes, beans, zucchini, spinach), tomatoes to sing the song of the sun, and broth that carries the warmth of home.
Slow simmered, never rushed—just like discipleship. Add pasta or rice for heartiness, and finish with parmesan or a drizzle of olive oil for that final “glory to God!” 🧀🕊️

🍽️ Step 3: Serve with Purpose — Hospitality as Holy Practice
- Serve in wide bowls, steaming and vibrant.
- Offer with fresh bread or crusty focaccia—because what’s grace without something to soak it up? 🍞
- Print a verse card for each bowl:
👉 “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” — Psalm 23:2 - Add a tag:
“This soup is a sermon. Taste and be comforted.”
Final Benediction:
Minestrone is what happens when a garden meets grace and enters a pot. It’s the meal of the humble, the hopeful, and the healing.
It’s the Gospel… simmered.

CHEAP GAS is in the odd places. Get gas outside of Seattle. Best prices are either in Fife at the 7-11 on 3309 Pacific Hwy E. If your looking for a great deal north of Seattle, $3.25 at the Tulalip Market 2832 116th Ave NE, near Marysville. Be a good planner and it will pay off. If you are from Seattle, remember that Longview, TEXAS has gas for $1.59 We have high sales taxes! GRRRrrrr!
NO – they do not sponsor us. Always a ministry; never monetized.
