You have been giving or receiving all year long. This is done with an attitude of thanks to the Lord and to the folks that we meet. This was great…. Now, WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
👩🍳PLEASE WELCOME THE QUARTERMASTER!!!👩🍳
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

🥣 Step 1: Inspire to Eat — The Gospel Goes Best in a Bowl of Bread
Hot chili in a bread bowl is more than comfort food—it’s a picture of the Kingdom! A strong outer shell, soft inside, holding warmth that fills, strengthens, and restores. Just like the Gospel, it’s bold, hearty, and meant to be shared. Whether it’s a cold night or a heavy heart, this meal says: “You’re safe, you’re seen, and you’re about to be satisfied.” 🌾💛🔥

🌶️ Step 2: How It’s Made — Fire in the Pot, Love in the Loaf
The Chili: Simmer ground beef or beans, tomatoes, garlic, onion, and chili powder over low heat—let the flavor develop like a testimony. 🧅🍅🔥 Add love. Add patience. Stir with purpose.
The Bread Bowls: Hollow out crusty round loaves of bread (sourdough, rye, or artisan-style)—leave just enough inside to soak up the goodness. You’re not wasting bread, you’re preparing a vessel. 🍞🙌

🍽️ Step 3: Serving Suggestions — Bread + Boldness + Blessing
- Ladle the chili right into the bread bowl 🥣🍞—watch the smiles grow.
- Top with cheese, sour cream, green onions, or even a Scripture tag! 🧀📖
- For outreach, serve on trays or in sturdy bowls with napkins and a printed verse like:
Psalm 34:8 — “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” ✨
Optional: Add a “Bread of Life” card inside the bag or under the bowl. Remind every guest:
“This bread will pass—but Jesus satisfies forever.” ✝️

Yes – I use GASBUDDY.com
CHEAP GAS is in the odd places. Get gas outside of Seattle. Best prices are either in Fife at the 7-11 on 3309 Pacific Hwy E. If your looking for a great deal north of Seattle, $3.25 at the Tulalip Market 2832 116th Ave NE, near Marysville. Be a good planner and it will pay off. If you are from Seattle, remember that Longview, TEXAS has gas for $1.59 We have high sales taxes! GRRRrrrr!
NO – they do not sponsor us. Always a ministry; never monetized.
