It has been a privilege to work and serve with my mom and mentor-in-giving. Her lifestyle of helping others has been an example for many and her recipes were equally as well known by thousands. Her testimony in this specific food ministry was heartily completed each and every week – from a wheelchair! Her gift to prepare a feast for any size of church group was impressive to watch and be included in each grand production. Our hearts will be sad for us; but we will rejoice that the Lord loaned her to us, for this short while.

COOKING FOR 100
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.
CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP in every form is wonderful! It is more than comfort food, it is the go to food when we need to be revived. Savory broth with chunks of blessing all the way through makes this dish a healing feast for one and all. This IS God’s gift to human kindness. It starts with well known ingredients and by the time you are ready to serve this smile, you have added everything. including the kitchen sink.
