It has been a privilege to work and serve with my mom and mentor-in-giving. Her lifestyle of helping others has been an example for many and her recipes were equally as well known by thousands. Her testimony in this specific food ministry was heartily completed each and every week – from a wheelchair! Her gift to prepare a feast for any size of church group was impressive to watch and be included in each grand production. Our hearts will be sad for us; but we will rejoice that the Lord loaned her to us, for this short while.

COOKING FOR 100
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.

This is the life of the traveling soul. There is nothing more American than going to IHOP in the 80s, getting a tall stack of flapjacks and then smothering it was boysenberry syrup. Ah yes, things are different now; but the desire of the ages is still there. If you still like flapjacks with butter from Denny’s or any other blessed national location, then imagine wanting; but having NO MONEY.
It is our turn to share a meal with the neighbors!
If you stop at any store and pick up a box of pancake mix, you can’t go wrong. A single burner stove and (1) small skillet will complete the base of the project. Next bring butter, syrup, milk and coffee! Now you are the street-side hero!
This much effort should be given in the bestest Evangelistic outreach with equal or more planning, prayer and preaching!
