COOKING FOR 100
The US Army, US Navy, and US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for 100 servings of any and everything.
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the Gold Country AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, and plates, and everything was ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.
I love getting lost at IKEA. It is an exercise that ends with a great appetite for home cooked cafeteria food. (opposite terms) Alice and I would make a monthly trek to the West Sacramento IKEA for a walk about and Swedish Meatballs. That was the best. It was so good, that we wanted to bless our neighbor kids in Belltown, Seattle on the Wednesday Weekly dinner. That dinner was completed in advance and served under a tent canopy for an average of 75 men, every Wednesday evening. Fun Stuff!
Pick up a COSTCO, Chef Store or other HUGE bag of meatballs for a total of the plan in mind. We roasted our portions of happiness on multiple cookie sheets. Alice made a rue of gravy that included cream of mushroom soup and better that bullion beef broth. It tasted just like Swedish meatball gravy. Have a side of Lingonberry jamb and you are in your own IKEA cafe haven.
