COOKING FOR 100
The US Army, US Navy and the US Marines have a book of recipes called the Quartermaster’s Cookbook. It’s a small compilation of 2k+ recipes of how to plan for a 100 servings of any and everything.
Mrs. Loos the AWANA QUARTERMASTER for many years
Her epic meal preparation was known for over a decade. This included providing meals for everyone who joined the AWANA program every Wednesday evening. This was a compilation of cooking gear, serving materials, plates and everything were ready in advance. Then there were the surprising meals that were so wonderful, that a buffet restaurant would be jealous.
Spaghetti and Meatball with a pile of cheese is the best to fill the need for any meal. It is so easy to take a jar of Prego, boil a couple of noodles and then utopia is ready. Oh Wait… don’t forget the mountain of Parmesan cheese!
Now, when you have food service for 100, you want to plan not for simple spaghetti sauce; but sauce with flavor, olives, basil, and huge chunks of ground beef and sausage. This is meal-topia at it’s finest.
Interesting fact… NOODLES ARE FROM THE ORIENT, thank you Marco Polo for bringing the egg flour noodles back home. When we visit our friends in Issaquah, we will always have Marco Polo Spaghetti. This is a family fun blast ! Kai, Zengzing, the boys, Alice and me trying to use chop sticks and getting sauce all over us. PS… HAVE PAPER TOWELS! wimpy napkins are awful.
Did you know that (1) ENTIRE chapter of John Chapter 4 can be folded into a business card shape and size.
