Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.

Hello Romania, Buna Romania,
Thank you for checking in with us last week. May God bless you as you share with others. Vă mulțumim că ne-ați înregistrat săptămâna trecută. Dumnezeu să vă binecuvânteze când împărtășiți cu ceilalți.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved! Acts 16:31
Crede în Domnul Isus Hristos și vei fi mântuit! Fapte 16:31

Thank You; What Am I Supposed to do With a BAG OF BEANS?

We love to give and to receive. What happens when we are given a BAG OF PINTO BEANS? The folks at the food bank were very gracious to package them and they smiled when the shared them. Thank you! OK, What am I supposed to do with a bag of pinto beans?

HOW TO PREPARE ONE CUP OF PINTO BEANS for 1

  • SOAK – Take ONE cup of pintos and place them in a glass jar. DOUBLE WATER. Let it set overnight or a full day.
  • RINSE
  • ADD WATER Take your good bottled water and be sure the beans are under water.
  • COOK You will need 20-25 minutes of small fire. (camp stove, edge of large camp fire.)
  • ADD Lard or oil – one large spoon. You will taste whatever you add.
  • SEASON Top Ramen pack. This is my favorite. It has every flavor that you need. Make mine chicken seasoning.
  • STIR Heat on campfire until you like it. This sounds like a really good and easy campsite recipe. I like the chicken flavor and the oil makes the beans like a restaurant.

THAT WAS A BUNCH OF WORK FOR A $1 CAN OF REFRIED BEANS.

$1 can from the Dollar Tree and a can opener seems totally easier. I have to ask the person who just blessed me with 3 pounds of beans… have you ever made refried beans from scratch? You’re not mean for asking. (Don’t be mean) I have only met a few people that really have a home cooked lifestyle. I worked at the family restaurant and I have made refried by the kettle full, everyday. I have never done this at home.

GIVE THE BEANS TO A MEXICAN RESTAURANT – yes

GIVE AT THE BACK DOOR. Why? Everyone at the Mexican restaurant knows someone who has that home cooking lifestyle. They will take it off their back doorstep and they’ll know what to do. NOT the front door; they’ll say no. Perhaps someone will accuse them of bad beaners. Perhaps they may see you give and give you delicious hot refried beans in return!

GRACIOUS GIVING FOLKS… Test your gift before you give. Garbanzo beans? Dry Lima beans? If the homeless or the traveler receive this blessing, they need to know the viability of cooking anything on a campfire.

Welcome back friends in the Philippines
