“Pastor Verne preaching. The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is God and that He is a Person. The coming of the gospel in Thessalonica arrived with words, with power, with much assurance, and in the Holy Spirit (verse 5). We see the ministries and work of the Holy Spirit in creation, in our salvation, and in our Christian living. The presence of the Holy Spirit includes the companions of discipleship, devotion and delight (verse 6). Following Jesus, receiving God’s Word, and experiencing the joy are of the Holy Spirit. May we be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and display the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) for the glory of God.”
