Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.
I could use a hot bowl of oatmeal.
I have eaten so much fast food recently that the only thing that sounds good is a simple bowl of oatmeal.
What if you were cut off guard and live on the street, in the inner city. Food banks give you lots of spaghetti and macaroni with cheese. Too much salty food. Wouldn’t it be great if I could get something other than only coffee for breakfast?
Here is how you can complete that simple idea.
A large thermos of hot water. Pump jobs are at every thrift store. That gives you 16 to 20 cups of hot water.
Styrofoam cups. 6 or 8 ounces, short and fat.
Simple quick oats.
Sugar. Like what you use for your coffee.
Spoons.
… Ready to serve.
For us it was 70 breakfast servings every Wednesday morning in Belltown. A hot breakfast is always welcome. This is something that everyone of our kids understand that it is very comforting. It’s healthy too.

Share the Gospel or a passage of Scripture.
I sent along with every serving a business card sized set of scriptures. We went through the Book of John, with one chapter every week. Each set of small folded up chapter from God’s word gave them the opportunity to understand how God loves us and wants a relationship with us. I always added my contact information.
You thought that it was just a cup of oatmeal. It turned out that it was a full evangelistic meal in a 6 oz. styrofoam container.
May God bless you as you tell God what your needs are and then He will lead other to help you in your daily life. If I can answer any questions about these resource bulletins, please call me.
In Christ’s Care,
Chaplain Aaron & Mrs. Alice
