Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.

THANKSGRATEFUL GIVING – The Big Event

You’ve practiced giving all year long and now you’ve come to the November month with a bit of panic. It’s Thanksgiving on this last week of the week. I haven’t even planned for how many will be at the location where we share meals with the neighbors. This was my plight last year. One week away and I’m waiting until the last week to think this through.

Last day planning.

The big stores always have what I need. (WalMart, Costco, Chef’sStore) My mom was a great cooking coach and how! I needed 3 Butterball turkeys, boxes and boxes of stuffing, boxes and boxes of instant potato mix, 1 10# bag of Idaho potatoes, a huge bag of gravy mix, 5 cans of green beans and clam shell togo containers, 1 box of plastic spoon, forks, knives-100 serving, napkins. Drinks are a different conversation, whether it is water bottles or sodas. We served 70, to God be the glory

Start cooking at 4am.

You’ll need an oven for each 18 lb bird. I had 3. It was an apartment building with 3 vacancies. Thank you! By the time the other volunteers arrived, I was making mashed potatoes in a Lowes bucket with a Milwaukee drill, a paint stirring tool.

Serve with kindness!

Hungry children of any age are not always polite or perfect. Street outreach needs a strong, observant safety director. We have a 3 minute exit plan for emergency problems. Everyone works together as a kitchen family. The goal is not Evangelism, it is to feed the 5,000, then one-on-one counseling that leads to prayer, salvation and blessings. (I’ve tried it both ways) One-on-one does bestest. Matthew 25:35-45

Sample your cooking – a chef that loves their own cooking is like a pastor who reads his Bible every chance they can. Very encouraging. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

May God bless you as you tell God what your needs are and then He will lead other to help you in your daily life. If I can answer any questions about these resource bulletins, please call me.
In Christ’s Care,
Chaplain Aaron & Mrs. Alice
