Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.
ADOPT A LOCAL FRIEND
Take a duck to lunch is what my mom would always recommend.
Alice and I lived in Capitol Hill, Seattle for a couple of years. Jason was a young guy that would always wake me up a 7:30am asking for a meal. His way of greeting me was to take the dumpster lid and slam it repeatedly until I came down to say HOWDY. With a quiet smirk he would say, “Hey Aaron.” I was delighted to see Jason and was glad that he woke my brain up, so I was glad to ask, “Have you had breakfast? Can Alice and I make you a breakfast burrito and hot coffee?” I would make one for myself as well and we would have breakfast together. I never had to preach, Jason did the talking about his heart with Christ.

When you plan a burrito in Jesus name….
Joan comes to the Bible study every Sunday. She knows that Alice and I am on the road all day Sunday between chapel services and can’t slow down for snack or coffee. Each week, her ministry is to make a meal to go for Alice and me. She greets us at 9am with a hot cup of coffee ready for my head and ready to wet my whistle before chapel. These bag lunches have included soup or sandwich. My favorite was the sausage breakfast sandwich.

When you plan a lunch to go in Jesus name…
The idea is to ADOPT A LOCAL FRIEND and plan a sack lunch to go. Hot soup or a layered sandwich, PB&J on toasted bread, a jar of beef broth, a pack of…. You name it!

Send a Message for Christ. Send a Bible verse.
Are You a Church that would like to step it up a notch?
Open Door Baptist Church in the SeaTac area provides a free meal to every child who comes to church. They will pick up the family and take them back home. If a visitor comes off the street, their children are given the same blessing. This small congregation that has met in an office building for almost 2 decades, provides for the needs of their community. Specifically, they make a quick short meal for every child. Nothing elaborate or fancy, just a small meal for that boy or girl. WHAT A BLESSING!!!
May God bless you as you tell God what your needs are and then He will lead other to help you in your daily life. If I can answer any questions about these resource bulletins, please call me.
In Christ’s Care,
Chaplain Aaron & Mrs. Alice
