You know, its not very often when the Holy Spirit has completed all of the prep kitchen work and then we are invited to share the Gospel and we ACTUALLY DO IT !!! Most of the time, the best way to describe my evangelistic lame duck attempts in the Gospel is: I let the opportunity pass me by. The Lord will do what He will do; but He invites us into His harvest. I know what it is; but what do I do when Evangelizing the Willing.

Acts Chapter 25 & 26 – Evangelizing The Willing
…..a message by Chaplain Aaron
- The Apostle Paul’s Testimony
Acts 26:26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
a. His personal experience – vs. 1, 2
Acts 26:1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: 3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
b. The Hope of Ages – The Christ – vs. 6, 7
Acts 26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: 7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. 8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
c. Jesus is the Christ – vs. 23, 8, 18
Acts 26:23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
Acts 26:8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - My Testimony
I accepted Christ’s free gift of forgiveness many years ago. It was a simple understanding then and a deeper understanding now. May I tell you my story?
a. Romans 3:23 – Aaron was born a sinner
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
b. Romans 6:23 – Sin separated me from God
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
c. Ephesians 2:8, 9 – I can’t save myself, faith is a gift
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
d. Acts 16:31 – Believe ON Jesus
“Believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
e. Romans 10:9, 10 – I spoke my heart
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
f. 1 John 5:13 – I am confident
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” - Christ’s Invitation
John 11:25 & 26
a. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
b. he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
c. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
