HOW TO EVANGELIZE PORN SHOPS…
“A group of believers from Emmanuel Bible Church hope to have a BBQ on March 28th about 2pm. We are actually hoping that we will get to use the space between the Marco Polo Motel and the Blue Video porn store. IF (we should get the ok this weekend) this happens, Emmanuel Bible Church will be hosting a BBQ on the front porch of the Wallingford, the Thunderbird, the Isabella and the Italia Motels. These motels are the stronghold of all things disheartening. They will need massive amounts of help to pull off a blessing this huge.”
The team from Emmanuel Bible Church sent teams to the area to invite all; but they sent 3 women to talk with the staff at the Blue Video porn shop. The 3 from EBC were gracious and invited the staff to the outreach BBQ. They reported that the staff was not just courteous; but they were grateful for the invitation to a church sponsored BBQ event.
EVANGELIZING PORN SHOPS IS NOT ADVISED!
There are some things that you cannot UNSEE. This sets up the mind for temptation and invites trouble. I am not called to go there. BUT… Alice and I have zero trouble going into a crack pipe or pot shop to share munchies and Gospel tracks, food packs and Salvation invitations. Be a consistent friend – in the Gospel. This is the Age of Grace and this is the last chance they may have to listen to the Salvation message. Christian… Be Nice!
NEVER DO THIS ALONE
Where you are giving the Gospel and food to a Bar, a Pot shop, a Porn shop or others, be a team in the Gospel. You know the dozens of verses where Christ sent out the 70 or the 12, Jesus sent them out 2-2. (Matthew 10; Mark 6) There are so many reasons why the Bible is right on this.
AS YOU ARE GOING… be giving in word and deed.
