There is a mental separation between the Pastor and the congregation. This mindset “feels” that because they went to Bible college and have been doing “it” for years, they can do things and we can’t. I was not called to be my childhood pastor. He was coached by J. Vernon McGee and graduated well. I flunked out of Bible school before my first semester was done. Am I doomed to nothingness? a. He Heard Paul & Silas – v.25
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
b. He Believed ON Jesus – v. 31
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 26 times that the phrase shows “He that believeth” only 1 time it mentions baptism and clarifies immediately.
Acts 2:42, 46 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.
