There are some glitches in my old school Baptist way of thinking. One of those things is that mom-like ability to know what the kids are doing, when the kids are in another city. Another one of those things is when a dear lady of deep faith has been praying for someone for a long time and suddenly knows that God has answered her prayers for another person in need. What I am baffled about is those times when I get a “hunch” that I supposed to bring the Gospel or pray a certain way for someone else. This is Christ working in the hearts of Believer. The most unusual would be When Guys Start Seeing Things.

Acts Chapter 10 – When Guys Start Seeing Things
…a message from Chaplain Aaron
- Cornelius Did Daily Devotions – vs. 1-8
a. Devout = very good homage = daily worship; devotions
b. Bible Study leader, household of faith
c. Giving, very giving
d. Prayed without ceasing
e. Obedient: The angel spoke, he obeyed. - Peter Learned Jesus Christ – vs. 9-33
a. Peter Left Everything
Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
b. Peter Learned the OT Scriptures
Unclean Animals – Leviticus 11:1-47; Deuteronomy 14:1-21
Rich Young Ruler – Matthew 19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31; Luke 18:18-30
c. Peter Learned Obedience – even the odd stuff
This was everything from “cast your net on the other side”, seeing Moses & Elijah, feeding of the 5,000 & 4,000, healing lepers, blind, THE RESURRECTION, AND learning new doctrine.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. - Peter Preaches to the Gentiles – vs. 34-48
a. Salvation is for all peoples – vs. 34-37
b. Salvation is the Gospel of Jesus Christ – vs. 38-43
c. Salvation was given that day to them all – vs. 44-48
The visions weren’t the point. The visions were the pointers for the 2 devout followers of Christ. For the centurion military leader, this is a once in a lifetime event. For Peter, the leader of the Christian church in Jerusalem, this was a regular conversation with God. Yet, wouldn’t it be great to hear a voice from God speaking to us?
How do you hear God speak to you? Simple: read God’s Word
How do you hear God verbally speak to you? Simple: read it out loud
You learn, you share, others become Believers.

We have joined in fellowship and in communion through the gift of Salvation that only comes through Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Jesus as your Saviour and would like to know how to have Salvation…
may I give you a few verses from God’s Word ?
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:9 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved!
If you trust what Jesus said, tell God that you understand. Try this prayer… “Dear Father in Heaven, I know I am a sinner and I need to be forgiven. Jesus died for my sins so that I can be forgiven. Please clean my heart and make me a child of your family. I accept your free gift of life now and life eternal.
In Jesus name, AMEN!” WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!
Please let us know if you did that today; we want to rejoice with you and pray for you.
