Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.

Pancakes at the Columbus Motor Inn – a motel.

I woke up one morning and had the hankering for pancakes. A big stack of flapjacks with butter and thick maple syrup oozing with home cooked happiness just waiting to be consumed. Then I stopped and realized in my selfish endeavors that I had forgotten my neighbors.

…from our 2009 Book “What If I Had 30 Days Left To Live
Alice and I were managing the Columbus Motor Inn, there in Aurora Ave. N and the gracious Spirit of God had nudged my heart again to remember my neighbors at the motel. So as I love to shock Alice with my impromptu ideas, today was another off-the-cuff suggestion.

“Let’s make pancakes for all of our motel guys!”

To make a long morning short… we provided piping hotcakes for all of our neighbor guys and even supplied for their friends. By 2pm, even the curious on the sidewalk had heard of our open breakfast opportunity and stopped in for a heap of blessing. My cost: a little extra time and I used up my extras.

The message was imperative. If every meal deserves to have a message, then I needed to be sure that every plate had a Gospel message, no matter how simple. We have a responsibility to direct conversations back to Christ. A printed paper cut into small squares that said “God Loves You – John 3:16” was all that it said. Today was not the Billy Graham sermon with an altar call day. It was just a sweet reminder of God’s enduring love for us.

May God bless you as you tell God what your needs are and then He will lead other to help you in your daily life. If I can answer any questions about these resource bulletins, please call me.
In Christ’s Care,
Chaplain Aaron & Mrs. Alice
