Welcome to Your Community Resource Page. As a Seattle Resource Chaplain – my goal has always been to provide for the needs of my neighbors in Seattle. Mrs. Alice and I have been focused on the exact area that we live and help.
Souper Ideas for Others
In Aurora Ave. N. is a outreach group that meets the needs of the street and also provides a recharge space for those dealing with addictions. Awake on Aurora is a NA, AA support location with a HUGE heart for the many souls of N. Seattle. Meals are a big part of this outreach.
Alice and I were still managing the Columbus Motor Inn when the idea of “what’s for dinner?” grew from our needs to “let’s bring a case of hot soup to the huge group. (Always check and schedule with the hosting outreach when you plan to do this.) The result was great… 60 cups of homemade and hearty chicken soup. On each up had a the Bible verse from John 3:16 in a Heart. Remember “with every meal goes a message; and with every message goes a meal.” The value of a meal is so important that Christ started his ministry with the Wedding of Cana, continued with the feeding of the 5,000, all the way to the after the Resurrection with “come and dine. Don’t forget that Jesus gave a message with every meal!
