Here is the outline:
1. Jesus was teaching
2. Those Four Friends had Faith
3. Jesus Forgives and Heals
You know about the paralytic that was lowered through the roof. You know his friends (unknown number of friends) brought this guy to Jesus. You know that Jesus forgave his sins and healed that man. I’m not sure if the message was about the Faith of the Four-ish Friends, the Faith of the Paralytic, Jesus Forgiving Sins or even ALL the above.
So you see I am stumped on a title. CAN YOU HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT? Don’t do it for me. I need help to figure this one out.
Matthew Chapter 9:1-8 …and a message from Chaplain Aaron
1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. 3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 7 And he arose, and departed to his house. 8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Hello Dear Friend,
I understand that sometimes life makes no sense and is confusing. People and events have done you great hurt that may never be repaired on the inside. I also know that Christ offers you peace in trials and comfort in bad days.
“Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Jesus cares about that damage in your life and He will help you through it. You may have a scar in your life; but as a friend, I want to help you get past the scar and live. Don’t keep opening the scar and living in the wound. Live your life past those old hurts. Live in God’s gift of here and now. Look to Christ for tomorrow.
Find friends that will teach you, correct you, and be there to lead you back to Christ.
